Dr. Phil Pearson received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. He has been with Dairyland Veterinary Service since 1985 and an owner since 1990. He is a very versatile veterinarian with many unique skills. He has many established herd health clients and takes on Equine clients as well. He and his wife Ruth live in Casco. His interests are hunting and golfing and enjoying Wisconsin’s beautiful outdoors.
Dr. Bill Koffman grew up on a dairy farm in Eden, WI. After high school, he joined the Navy as an electronic technician for 6 years. After that he enrolled at Iowa State University and got a BS in Dairy Science in 1984 and then a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After graduation, he began working at Dairyland Veterinary Service. He has interest in diagnostic and preventative medicine and business and personnel management. He and his wife Barb live in Luxemburg. His hobbies are woodworking, trapshooting, reading, and piano.
Dr. Scott Wiley grew up in Mauston, WI. After high school he did his undergraduate work at University of Wisconsin—River Falls. He got his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1992. He has worked at Dairyland Veterinary Service since then. He enjoys preventative medicine. He is interested in finding and addressing farm bottlenecks and enjoys working with farm expansions, new building design, biosecurity, stall design, and building renovations. He often is part of the farm strategic planning, working with all aspects of the management team. Scott lives in Kewaunee with his wife Hong and 2 children. His interests are camping, hiking, and canoeing.
Dr. Matt Schaefer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schaefer is involved in all aspects of large animal veterinary medicine but has special interests in equine preventative medicine, nutrition, and equine dentistry. He travels all over Northeast Wisconsin providing specialized dental maintenance of competitive and pleasure horses. He lives with his wife Renee in Howard. They have three children. Matt enjoys long distance running and coaching soccer.
Dr. Kevin Rockow grew up in New Holstein, WI, attended undergraduate college a UW-Stevens Point and graduated from UW-Madison Veterinary College in 1995. Dr. Rockow has been working as a Dairy practitioner since then. He is interested in all aspects of dairy medicine, especially nutrition. He lives in Casco.
Dr. Mike Heiman grew up on a dairy farm 15 miles east of Madison in Deerfield, WI. He went to undergraduate college at UW-River Falls and graduated from UW-Madison in 1995. Professionally, he enjoys all aspects of dairy practice and has been involved in heifer raising, facilities design, nutrition, mastitis and reproduction programs. Mike developed and implemented an Embryo Transfer program for the practice. He lives in Kewaunee with his wife and 3 children.
Dr. Justin Hess grew up on a dairy farm 15 miles Northeast of Platteville, WI. He attended UW-Platteville for undergraduate college before receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UW-Madison in 2015. While his interests are still developing, he likes working with calves and educating farm employees. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, golfing, and playing euchre.
